CCIA Offers Written Statement For House Judiciary Patent Oversight Hearing

Washington – The House Judiciary Committee is examining a recent GAO report on patent quality and other issues on the problem of patent trolls at a hearing Tuesday. The Computer & Communications Industry Association has been advocating for comprehensive patent reform for more than a decade. CCIA patent counsel Matt Levy submitted a written statement  for the hearing. For more on the GAO patent study on demands facing patent examiners that lead to low quality patents being issued, see Levy’s video here. As for the inspector general’s report, see his Washington Post letter here or IPWatchdog post here for more background information.
