Washington – The House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade is scheduled to mark up 18 online safety bills, including Promoting a Safe Internet for Minors Act (H.R. 6289), Kids Internet Safety Partnership Act (H.R. 6437), and Assessing Safety Tools for Parents and Minors Act (H.R. 6499) Thursday. These bills’ balanced approaches to online safety would aid in coordinating government efforts with key stakeholders — young users, parents, educators, and companies alike — to advance responsible privacy and security practices.
