Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite Broadband Facts and Stats

Low Earth Orbit Satellite Broadband has the potential to connect the 43.7 million Americans lacking broadband access to high-speed internet, giving the 13.3% of Americans who lack broadband access a huge economic boost for their predominantly rural communities. With a total addressable market between $20.8 billion and $62.9 billion per year and the potential to boost GDP per capita by more than €641.12 (about $690 USD), it is no wonder that LEO satellite broadband companies have plans to add to the existing 7,500 LEO satellites with thousands more in the coming years.
