Helsinki, Finland — The Computer & Communications Industry Association is leading a delegation of tech companies to meet Finnish politicians and senior officials Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of Finland taking over the Presidency of the Council of the EU. CCIA Europe will also present its EU tech policy recommendations.
Finland will take over the Presidency from Romania on July 1. It will steer the Council’s work at a crucial time when the EU top posts will be decided and the EU’s priorities for the next five years will be set out. Finland will steer Council’s discussions on how to improve Europe’s digital performance and overall competitiveness. Finland was recently recognised as the leading digital performer in the 2019 EU Digital Economy and Society Index.
