CCIA Welcomes Romanian EU Presidency

The Computer & Communications Industry Association welcomes the first-ever Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU. Romania will chair negotiations on key EU legislative proposals from copyright to ePrivacy to digital taxation during the first half of 2019.

CCIA presented our EU tech policy recommendations to the Romanian government during our recent delegation visit to Bucharest.

The following can be attributed to CCIA Europe Vice President Christian Borggreen:

“The Romanian Presidency will chair negotiations that will impact Europe’s digitising economy for years to come. We hope our recommendations can inspire Europe to successfully embrace the digital transformation to the benefit of governments, companies and consumers.”
