Washington — Today, the Federal Communications Commission voted to reduce costs and speed up the deployment of small cells. Next generation “5G” technologies will require greater densification of networks to increase performance. Small cells will play a key role, and the FCC’s order will harmonize shot clocks for small wireless facility collocations at sixty days and ninety days for new small wireless facility siting requests that involve the construction of new facilities.
