For a presentation and interactive discussion of the value of “Fair Use” to the U.S. economy and its importance to copyright law for the digital age.

A 2007 study released by CCIA, titled “Fair Use in the U.S. Economy,” demonstrated the immense benefits that the U.S. economy derives from Fair Use; that is, the limited copying and redistribution of copyrighted works such as music, articles, books, and video for socially and economically desirable purposes. The new 2010 study will use updated values to quantify Fair Use through the economic activity that comes from balanced copyright law.
