Washington, D.C. — Today, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ordered the transfer of petitions for review of the FCC’s recent order that repealed the 2015 Open Internet rules to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. The D.C. Circuit has heard three separate appeals regarding net neutrality in this decade. Last week, CCIA moved to intervene in this case on the side of petitioners seeking to overturn the FCC’s action.
CCIA represents a diverse group of tech companies from leading Internet services to Internet providers. CCIA has advocated on internet access and competition issues for over two decades including legal briefs supporting the 2015 Open Internet Order, which the D.C. Circuit upheld in 2016.
