In Pictures: European AI Roundtable on the Intersection of AI and Privacy

On 4 December 2024, the European AI Roundtable convened its third session in Brussels, bringing together leading AI experts, academics, EU policymakers, and industry leaders. Hosted by the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA Europe), the event focused on critical questions at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and privacy.

Participants explored how Europe can reconcile its ambitious AI goals and landmark AI Act with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Discussions also addressed the European Data Protection Board’s (EDPB) opinion on the use of personal data for training AI models, alongside other potential solutions to achieve greater regulatory clarity and foster responsible AI development across the continent.
