CCIA, Business Associations Send Letter to Congressional Leaders on Support for USMCA

Washington — The Computer & Communications Industry Association joined a dozen associations in a letter to House and Senate leaders explaining their support for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement and asking them to approve the deal. The ITC released a report earlier this month on the projected economic impact of the new USMCA trade agreement, identifying the digital trade provisions as a positive sign for growth.

CCIA has advocated for open markets for more than 45 years. The following can be attributed to CCIA President & CEO Ed Black:

“It is encouraging to see a deal that will allow both the tech industry to grow as well as all the traditional businesses now using the internet to sell and deliver products and services. Congress should act promptly to approve the deal, bringing U.S. trade into the 21st century.”
