Washington — The FCC voted today to approve a proposal by Chairman Pai to better enable broadband buildout. The One Touch Make Ready (OTMR) proposal would reduce costs and cut down on timelines for deploying high-speed networks.
The Computer & Communications Industry Association, an international tech trade association representing a diverse group of tech companies from leading internet services to internet providers, supports bringing more high speed broadband to more people. “In the global race to 5G, we just got a burst of speed. These reforms will boost competition by helping network providers buildout more quickly and with fewer costs. CCIA applauds the Commission for pursuing this policy in a balanced manner and promoting the deployment of high-speed networks.”
