Washington — CCIA joined six other tech trade associations in a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer asking that they borrow copyright language from the TPP to include in NAFTA. The letter explained the need to find the “right balance in the area of copyright” among a broad range of stakeholders. The letter said the TPP was the result of compromise and it’s important not to abandon that work that would bring greater benefits across more sectors of the economy.
