CCIA Co-Sponsors Global Fair Use Panel At American University Washington College of Law

Washington – Leading international experts will gather on Wednesday to discuss the global debate around balanced copyright. The American University Washington College of Law’s Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property will explore the differences in fair use law around the world in a panel discussion. Fair use exceptions to copyright law facilitate the quotation of materials by journalists and academics and the ability to index and navigate the vast network of online content. But the protections differ from country to country impacting everything from the digital economy to information sharing. This is a public event and webcast (live and on demand). To attend, register here.

The Computer & Communications Industry Association is co-sponsoring the event and has previously commissioned studies on the economic value of Fair Use in the U.S. and Europe, and will release an updated U.S. study soon.
