Brussels, BELGIUM — Today 20 industry groups sent an open letter to the European Commission Vice President Ansip and Commissioner Oettinger calling on an ambitious EU Regulation to “future-proof” the EU Single Market. Specifically, the letter urges the European Commission to enable the free flow of data within the EU Single Market by banning unjustified data localisation requirements in EU Member States. Signatories include DIGITALEUROPE, EuroISPA and CCIA Europe.
