Burke Kappler is the Deputy Director for the Litigation Center at the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA). Before joining CCIA, he served as the Assistant General Counsel for the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Chief of Staff for the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Trade Commission. Previously, he advised and counseled FTC staff on investigational issues and litigated process enforcement matters in federal courts. Before joining OGC, he served as a staff attorney with BCP’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection and as an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C. He received a B.A. from American University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
