Brussels, BELGIUM — The Computer & Communications Industry Association joined 5 tech trade associations in an open letter on the Audio Visual Services directive. The letter points out the 1000 amendments submitted by Members of Parliament to improve the proposal and asks that the legislation be subject to open debate with stakeholders opinions considered ahead of a vote. CCIA said it most cared about provisions to protect consumers, to harmonize rules across Europe and to ensure the independence of media regulators in the Member States.
