Washington — The FCC took action in its Spectrum Frontiers proceeding three weeks ago, blazing a trail for the development of next generation mobile services, or “5G.” The Computer & Communications Industry Association encouraged the FCC to continue its work finding new high-band spectrum to facilitate 5G. CCIA submitted a letter Thursday urging the FCC to free up spectrum in a currently underutilized band that would promote the development of 5G technologies and maintain the United States’ position as a global leader in mobile.
