CCIA Best Digital Economy Paper
The Computer & Communications Industry Association sponsors this competition in order to promote original policy thinking on current issues in competition law and the digital economy.
2023 Topic
CCIA is sponsoring scholarship focused on issues in competition law, policy and economics arising from the general trend towards more complex multi-component products.
Prize
The author of the selected paper will receive a EUR 1,500 cash prize.
The winner, as well as authors of an additional set of selected papers, may be provided with the opportunity to publish a shortened version of their paper as a CCIA White Paper.
Competition Rules
To be eligible for consideration, the paper must have been written solely by the author or authors. Current or former employees, contractors, fellows, and interns of CCIA, current employees or interns of CCIA member companies, and current federal and state government employees or interns are not eligible to submit to the competition.
The paper must be the author’s own work, although feedback received as part of an academic course or supervised writing project may be incorporated.
Papers will be evaluated based on their contribution to scholarship around this topic, including the originality of the subject of the paper, the extent of research and scholarship exhibited, and the quality of the writing.
We encourage papers not to exceed 10,000 words, including footnotes.

Additional Terms and Conditions
Decisions made by the Computer & Communications Industry Association (“the Association”) are final.

Entrants may submit a single entry per year. In the event an entrant submits multiple papers, only the first paper submitted will be considered. Papers with multiple authors may be submitted. If such a paper is named the winner, the prize will be split among the authors evenly.
The Association reserves the right to cancel, modify, or terminate the competition for any reason. The Association reserves the right not to select a winning paper. The Association is not responsible for errors in submission or for any computer or technical errors that may interfere with or delay a submission.
